We love our habitual cup of coffee in the morning and that is OK but we must also make sure we give our body the elements it needs for proper hormone balance throughout the morning.
I suggest starting your day with a rich smoothie which contains fiber, protein and healthy fats.
This smoothie contains the necessary nutrients for optimal balance and to promote the production of hormones. In addition, it includes cinnamon which is not only high in antioxidant power but it also helps keep a stable blood sugar.
- 1 cup of coconut water, soy or any non-dairy milk
- 1/2 banana
- 2 tablespoons of hemp seeds
- 1 teaspoon tahini or almond butter
- 1 teaspoon maca
- 2 teaspoons chia
- 1 cup spinach or kale
- 2 tablespoons collagen
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Optional: 1/2 avocado
Blend with a few ice cubes, serve and enjoy right away.
You can substitute the banana for 1 cup of mixed berries for an extra boost of antioxidants.
