“In my last article, I suggested you ‘celebrate your menopause’, and now I am going to tell you how to do that! ‘Celebration’ does not mean ‘party’ here, but what I mean to say is, ‘using your time by choosing what you actually wanted to do in your life’, and thus living your life with a full heart. Celebrating each and every moment by creating small happy moments with a well planned day. The choices can be different for different women but what is important is to make the right choice for yourself. “
The important lesson which I have learnt in my life is to say ‘No’ at the right time to the wrong choices. Many women always give priority to their family and their kids but now, around menopause, is the time where you should change your priority and focus on yourself. Give attention to yourself, your health and peace of mind, by learning to say ‘No’ to the things or people which you are not comfortable with! And for that, just listen to your heart.
At times, some women have made sacrifices and wrong choices for their lives. Maybe they have felt helpless when it comes to social pressure, or the pressure of the responsibilities which she has carried on her shoulders. Perhaps she just forgot her life and moved on with her responsibilities but, my dear readers, around your forties, I would like to make you realize again that it is all about your life too! Take time for yourself, for fulfilling your dreams.
Forget all those people who have troubled you in your life, forget all about the sad and bad things, or all those depressing moments in your life. From now on, practise saying a firm ‘No’ to all those memories which trouble you. Say ‘No’ to all those people who create unnecessary problems in your life. Say ‘No’ to all the extra work which affects your health. Say ‘No’ to all who have taken you for granted. I know, it is not at all easy, but, still, now is the time to pause and change the way you live your life.
After all, ‘If not now, then when?’
