On the other end, came the news that my sister had just died from a heroin overdose. Speechless and gutted, I pulled my arms in front of my chest, dropped my head into my hands and felt paralyzed.
It is said that when a woman is pregnant her ability to listen to the cues of her body and nervous system are greatly enhanced. This is a special gift given to us at a crucial time when the way that we live our lives has such an incredible influence on the life of another human being.
Time is a gift. It is the one thing we never really get back. Yet, so often I hear the same complaint from people “I just don’t have the time”. I love to reflect on that single affirmation. Life has taught me a basic principle: We make time for what we really want.
